This Privacy Policy describes how Full Fat Ventures LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Plate Pattern app ("the app"). By using Plate Pattern, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

We may collect and store the following types of information:

Account information — such as your email address or Apple/Google account identifier, used to create and authenticate your account.
Meal text — the text descriptions you enter when logging meals.
Meal photos — photos you submit for AI-based nutrition analysis. Photos submitted for analysis are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) and may be temporarily processed by that service.
Nutrition estimates — the AI-generated nutrition data associated with your logged meals, including any edits you make.
App usage and error data — diagnostic and usage information that helps us identify and fix problems in the app, if collected.
Account and device metadata — such as timestamps, account creation date, and device identifiers, as needed for the app to function correctly.

How We Use Your Information

Information you provide is used to operate the app, generate nutrition estimates, maintain your meal history, and improve reliability. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.

Service Providers

We rely on the following third-party services to provide the app:

Supabase — authentication, database storage, and file storage for your account and meal data.
OpenAI — AI-based nutrition estimation. Meal text and photos you submit for analysis are processed by OpenAI's API.
Apple Sign-In — if you choose to sign in with Apple, authentication is handled by Apple.
Google Sign-In — if enabled and you choose to sign in with Google, authentication is handled by Google.
App hosting and infrastructure providers — services used to host and deliver the app and this website.

Each provider operates under its own privacy policy and data processing terms.

Nutrition Estimates

Nutrition estimates generated by Plate Pattern are approximate and are not medical or dietary advice. Do not rely on them for medical decisions.

Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your Plate Pattern account and associated app data from within the app by going to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your account and meal log data are removed, except for information we are required to retain for legal, security, or operational reasons.
