Plate Pattern — Full Fat Ventures, LLC
Effective: August 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Full Fat Ventures, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Plate Pattern mobile app ("Plate Pattern" or the "app"). Plate Pattern is a personal meal-logging tool. It is not medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Plate Pattern, we may collect:

We do not intentionally ask for diagnoses or other medical records. Information entered into free-form meal or support fields is processed as content you choose to provide.

How We Use Information

We use information to create and authenticate accounts; let you capture, review, edit, save, repeat, view, and export meals; generate approximate nutrition estimates; write saved nutrition to Apple Health at your direction; provide deletion tools; maintain security and reliability; improve app operation; and respond to support or privacy requests.

AI Estimation and Photos

When you request an estimate, meal text and/or a temporary meal-image payload may be sent through our server-side systems to service providers that process the request. The Plate Pattern mobile app does not contain an OpenAI API key and does not call OpenAI directly.

Plate Pattern is designed not to store raw meal-photo bytes in its database or storage as a permanent photo archive by default. Operational metadata may record that an image was present and the request's status, timing, model information, or error category.

Nutrition estimates are approximate and may be wrong. Review and edit them before saving. Plate Pattern is not medical or dietary advice and should not be used for medical decisions.

Apple Health

If Apple Health nutrition sync is available in your version of Plate Pattern, it is optional and off by default. Plate Pattern asks for permission only when you choose to enable it in Settings. With your permission, Plate Pattern may write dietary energy, protein, carbohydrates, total fat, fiber, sugar, and sodium from meals you save. Apple's controls let you approve or deny each category.

Plate Pattern does not read data from Apple Health. It does not send Apple Health data to Supabase, OpenAI, PostHog, Sentry, advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties. Nutrition written by Plate Pattern is not used for advertising, marketing, tracking, or data mining.

Turning sync off stops future writes and clears meals waiting to retry on that device. Signing out or deleting your Plate Pattern account clears that account's device-local sync settings. These actions do not delete entries already written to Apple Health. You can manage permission through iOS Settings and review or delete prior entries in the Apple Health app.

Service Providers

We use service providers to operate Plate Pattern, including:

These providers process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies. We require service providers to handle information consistently with this Policy and applicable law.

Sharing, Sale, Advertising, and Tracking

We do not sell personal information. Plate Pattern does not contain third-party advertising, and we do not use Apple Health information for advertising or marketing. We use Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics 4 for product and website measurement, and Google Ads for campaign-attribution measurement. This integration does not use IDFA or Advertising ID and does not enable Personalized Advertising. We do not intentionally track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising purposes. Depending on where you live, analytics or campaign-attribution practices may be subject to additional consent or disclosure requirements. We may disclose information when needed to operate the app, comply with law, protect rights or security, investigate abuse, or complete a business transaction such as a merger or asset sale.

Retention, Export, and Deletion

We keep account and meal information while your account remains active and as reasonably necessary to provide Plate Pattern. We retain operational, support, analytics, and diagnostic information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including security, troubleshooting, legal compliance, and business records.

You can export your meal log as a CSV file from Settings. You can delete your Plate Pattern account in the app from Settings → Delete account. Account deletion removes your Plate Pattern account and associated app data, except limited information we are required or permitted to retain. It also clears device-local Apple Health sync settings for that account, but it does not delete entries already written to the separate Apple Health store.

You can withdraw Apple Health write permission through iOS Settings and can stop future writes from Plate Pattern Settings. If you need help with export, consent withdrawal, or deletion, contact us using the address below.

Children

Plate Pattern is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. When we make changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
